Meet our amazing receptionists and technicians!
Michelle started working at South Side Animal Hospital in June of 1995. Occasionally Michelle assists the doctors as a technician. Michelle spends her free time with her two adult children, Paige and Kaylin. Michelle also enjoys being in her pool during the summer and going to local wineries. She has two dogs that she loves—Bree, a Maltese mix, and Gibby, a Shih Tzu/Schnauzer mix. Her favorite part of working at SSAH is her coworkers and getting to know the patients and clients.
Trina started working at South Side Animal Hospital in August of 1999. Trina has three adult children. She loves being a grandma to her four grandbabies. She enjoys her large breed dogs. In her free time she loves to go to the lake and go boating and camping. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves going to Disney. Her favorite part about working at SSAH is the relationships she’s built with her coworkers and clients.
Melissa DanielsSurgery Technician
Melissa started working at South Side Animal Hospital in May of 2001. She has been married to Paul since September of 1989 and they have two sons, Darrin age 13 and Kevin age 27. Melissa has a Shih Tzu named Sadie and a Red Lorde Amazon Parrot named Tango. In her free time she likes to swim in her pool, hang out with her family, and enjoys catching up on her tv shows. Her favorite part of her job is assisting with a variety of surgical procedures.
Ashley MartinVeterinary Technician
Ashley has been working at South Side Animal Hospital since November of 2009. In her free time she loves reading, cooking, and being with friends and family. She enjoys watching the Colts and NASCAR. If she could she would live at Disney World. She enjoys traveling, but becoming a recent home owner has prevented her from doing that as often as she would like. She loves being an aunt to her four nieces and nephews and also loves being a dog mom to Lola, a Golden Retriever, and Bailey, an Irish Wolfhound. Her favorite part of working at SSAH is working with her mom, Trina one of our receptionist, and constantly learning and seeing new things every day.
Tanya ManningRegistered Veterinary Technician
Tanya started working at South Side Animal Hospital in July of 2016. Tanya went to Harrison College where she obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2012. She has been married to Todd since June of 2006 and they have a five year old son, Lucas. They have a Golden Retriever named Ace and a three-legged Snowshoe cat named Gumby. Tanya enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and tv, and eating sushi. Her favorite part of her job is helping the patients in need. Seeing puppies and kittens is also a perk.
K WeeksVeterinary Technician
K started in the veterinary technician field in 1997. She spent nearly a decade at the Humane Society of Indianapolis. It was here where she honed her veterinary technician skills. She was a part of an international animal disaster rescue group (NoahsWish.org), where she assisted in the emergency shelter setup after Hurricane Katrina, and was the point-person for the animals’ medical care for the initial days. She also helped with other disaster rescues during other national disasters. She spent 8 years at a clinic north of Indy, and started at South Side Animal Hospital in October 2016. She has a passion for behavioral issues (fearful/aggressive animals) and how to improve their experience during the interaction with medical staff during their stay. Other things she enjoys include pet-sitting, camping, photography, and opportunities for joy! Her favorite part about working at SSAH is helping her teammates have a great day and bonding with the patients.
Haley SproutVeterinary Technician
Haley started at South Side Animal Hospital in January of 2018. She attended International Business College and obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2017. Haley likes spending time with her family, crafting, watching Netflix, and loves cuddling her four cats, Gus, Asher, Lola, and Chase. She was recently married to her husband, Zach, this past May. Her favorite part about working at SSAH is seeing all the cute patients that come in, especially cats.
Maddie MottingerVeterinary Technician
Maddie started working at South Side Animal Hospital in April of 2020, in the midst of a pandemic. In her free time, Maddie loves to be outdoors whether it is camping, hiking a new trail or being at the race track. She enjoys listening to music while doing crafts and gaming in her spare time. Maddie has two spoiled cats at home who were both found as strays: Lando Catrissian and Empurror Pawpatine. Her favorite part about being at SSAH is being able to connect with clients and reading cytologies.
